FLOOD UPDATE

As many of you know yesterday was the pretrial hearing for John Flood. Nothing of course was done other than to set a few other court dates. Flood will return on November 25 and enter a plea of guilty or not guilty and January 6 has been slated as the trial start date. I will update on that after November 25.

In the meantime here is the short and sweet Courier article: Councilwoman's husband gets court date courier-journal The Courier-Journal

I love how it labels Flood as an executive administrator since he has always been the Chief of IPL until we started calling out his lies and felony convictions.

According to Chip McKay, the special prosecutor assigned to the case, there was no plea agreement offered at this time which is a good thing since it is a repeat offense. The problem is that the courts will not allow evidence of Flood's prior guilty verdict for the same offense: False swearing.

According to one of my sources prior to the hearing yesterday Flood's attorney suggested a plea deal that John Flood would retire if the charges were dropped. Since Flood has stated he is going to retire anyway is this punishment for his illegal behavior?

I think not. And so apparently does Mr. McKay.

I must say feedback on Mr. McKay has been positive so far and I hope he continues to push for justice against the unjust leaders of IPL.

Mr. McKay said he had received countless letters in this case and even produced a file showing he had them with them. He was impressed to a degree that so many got involved and based on that when asked if he would plea this out he said no.

That is good news for many of us who are sick of the communist fearmongering tactics used against residents by IPL Chief John Flood and his cronies.

I was called by an anonymous IPL inspector and asked to make one distinction. The problems we have been reporting on are for those who do homeowner inspections such as Michael Baugh and those in Flood's office.

The commercial IPL inspectors are NOT to be included in these reports. I have yet to receive any complaint whatsoever about these guys and to my knowledge they do a great job overall and are very helpful to those they inspect. As a matter of fact I have received at least one comment thanking a commercial end IPL inspector for being so helpful in getting this particular business approved and open.

Thanks to all the inspectors who do their job right!

Now back to details on Flood. As you know I have reported the guilty felony convictions on Flood in previous articles: Louisville News and Politics: Code Enforcement: First in a series

I urge each of you to write Chip McKay once again and ask that Flood receive the maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and the maximum fine. A repeat offender Mr. Flood has once again shown that he will do what he wants when he wants.

For copies of the felony convictions you can always write me.
