JEFFERSON COUNTY GOP OPERATING IN SECRECY?

JCRP being questioned on delegate meetup

MVM Radio's TNT show w/Dale "the truth" Gillespie on Thursday raised many questions about the most recent JCRP meeting on Tuesday night. Tonight's guest was Clint Hardy of Kentucky Grassroots Radio and a registered Republican who attended the Tuesday meeting. Many may recall that in 2004 it took a lawsuit to open up the process to the rank and file. In 2008 media pressure forced the issue once again. This time yet another executive session was called.
Tune in below for the show for more info and let us know what you think!

CONSTABLE DAVID WHITLOCK INDICTED

For those of you who have been paying attention to this case today current Constable, and convicted felon, David Whitlock has been indicted on charges of second-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment largely brought about because of Louisville KY News once again.

We were among the first to run with the story on Whitlock's illegal dealings. We were the first to expose pictures of his illegalities and his own criminality.

I personally took the evidence I had acquired to Metro Councilman Kelly Downard and worked with Councilman David James to ensure there would be accountability. They then took the evidence to Commonwealth Attorney Dave Stengel that aided in bringing about these charges.

The charges against Whitlock currently are small potatoes in the grand scheme of things and I find it fails in holding Whitlock accountable for all his misdeeds.

In fact check this out for all the info on David Whitlock.

Whether holding corrupt officials accountable such as convicted felons David Whitlock or John Flood, from elected Council members such as Jim King or Judy Green, from MSD and beyond, I have led the fight and the charges that exposed these people and issues to we the people.

All without any mainstream recognition or support. All on my dime not theirs.

Louisvillians if you want the real truth and want to get involved in the changes THIS is where you go to. MVM and Louisville KY News will continue to do the hard work necessary to ensure we get an accountable government, community, and leadership. Thanks for your support.

To each of you I have but 3 words.

You are welcome.........

Louisville Ky MSD, Audits and Indictments?

Sometimes you have to take credit where it is due because no one else will give it to you. Yep pretty egotistical statement and in this case I will be a pretty egotistical guy. Thanks to Kentucky Open Records Laws we can find out a lot more than we ever have.

For years now we at LNP have been reporting on the fallacies of MSD, including the shenanigans of Attorney Larry Zielke, the incompetency of Director Bud Shardein, and a whole host of other issues. Today we are vindicated.

Why would I say that? For the last year or so the CJ, and others, have been finally reporting somewhat on the problems at MSD yet they were silent throughout the years in many case in order to protect the former regime leader in Jerry Abramson.

There can be no doubt about that now as the problems at MSD have been talked about for years in the public domain by yours truly. Why were other media outlets ignoring these problems when Jerry was in charge? While I thank Crit Luallen for finally doing a complete audit, why would she wait until the end of her term to do so when info was provided long ago about MSD and an audit requested by yours truly as well?

While there certainly are many questions to be asked, and accountability for all who helped hide this to protect the Democratic mafia with Abramson, it is indeed a great day to finally be proven right so thanks to Crit and her Department.

You can read the findings here from Crit’s office.

Mayor Greg Fisher announced at Noon today that Bud Shardein will be replaced as Director immediately. Unfortunately, though I agree with ridding Shardein 100%, the direction he is taking is suspect.

For starters, allowing Shardein to remain in any capacity until the spring is wrong. He has proven to be a dismal failure, a liar, and a thief. You don’t reward that behavior by allowing him to stay on so he can pad retirement.

You fire him immediately and deal with it. To allow him even so much as an advisory role is an insult to each of us who have been screwed by wrongful rate increases and faulty management.

Fischer also announced that three long-serving board members — chairman Arnold Celentano, Doyle Stacy and Jerome Clark — will shortly retire from the board as soon as replacements are found. Fischer asked them to stay until replacements can be appointed to maintain a level of institutional knowledge during the interim. There are eight board members, four of whom have been appointed by Fischer and have served fewer than six months.

Good to see Doyle Stacy being replaced as he was nothing more than a political hack appointment to appease the UAW for his work gaining an endorsement of Jerry Abramson in 2006. His work in that fiasco was rewarded so good riddance.

Another interesting twist to the story?

Greg Heitzman, Water Company president, will also assume the title of executive director of MSD starting immediately. Heitzman will be a loaned executive to help lead MSD during its transition toward compliance with the audit findings as well as a possible new business structure. Current executive director Bud Schardein, a 28 year MSD veteran, announced today that he will retire in the spring but will remain with the agency in an advisory role until then to help ensure a smooth transition.

I have problems with Heitzman being interim for MSD. Why? Because I believe that the Louisville Water Company is the second biggest scam against us ratepayers.

LWC is 100% owned and operated by the City of Louisville itself. Its purpose is to provide us with safe affordable drinking water. Period.

So why then can LWC continue to raise rates and post a profit that goes straight into the Louisville General Fund?

Is this not a form of illegal taxation since the Government owns it? Making a profit by raising rates is exactly one of the same scams MSD has been employing. Using a government agency for profit is, well, not exactly acceptable is it?

Greg Fisher you need a new Board Chairman? I volunteer. In the meantime.

There are a lot more questions to be asked and answered in the short-term but today, after years of railing against the illegalities of MSD, is as good a day as any to sit back, reflect on the fight, and say……

I told you so.

IN DEFENSE OF LOWE'S: SEN. LIEU SHOULD BE IMPEACHED

Senator Ted Lieu needs to go

I read an article today that includes a letter sent from Senator Ted Lieu D-CA which really should have come as no surprise from this liberal but did nonetheless. It seems Senator Lieu has taken offense at Lowe's Home Building for pulling their ads from a TLC show on cable that no one watches calling Lowe's un-American, bigoted, and shameful. Sen. Lieu is un-American

What is Lieu's problem?

The show Lowe's pulled its ads from was the All American Muslim show on TLC. Lowe's had apparently gotten complaints primarily from, according to Lieu, the  Florida Family Association that apparently believes that “All-American Muslim is propaganda that riskily hides the Islamic agenda’s clear and present danger to American liberties and traditional values.”

So think what you want about the Florida Family Association. Personally, I can't stand the ultra right either.

With that said however, there is something inherently wrong with a sitting Senator like Ted Lieu who believes he has the right to threaten ANY business for pulling their ad dollars to spend elsewhere for whatever reason they so choose.

The All American Muslim show does not have any exclusive rights to ad income from any source no more than I do. If Lowe's felt they would receive backlash because of their ads on that show they have every right to pull the ads.

That is about as American as it gets in a free market society to react to your customer base to insure your business does not suffer.

For Lieu to play the, "I am a State Senator and you will do what I say or pay the consequences game" is about as un-American as it gets and he should be impeached immediately. Seriously.

From Senator Lieu's email to Lowe's, that he presumably put out publicly himself:

If Lowe’s continues its religious bigotry, I will encourage boycotts of Lowe’s and look into legislative remedies.

Lieu tries to justify actions

It further goes on to state the following:

I previously served on active duty in the United States military to defend our cherished constitutional rights, such as freedom of religion. As a veteran, I find Lowe’s action not just ugly, but intensely anti-American. As a Catholic, I find Lowe’s religious intolerance to be dangerous. As a consumer, I find Lowe’s bigotry to be nonsensical.

I urge you to use common sense and rescind Lowe’s bigoted action. You also need to apologize to Americans, especially those who are Muslim.

I served as well MR. Lieu and I find it very disrespectful and insulting to have someone who is supposed to be an elected Senator engaging in this type of behavior. I served to preserve freedom and our American way of life.

I would not assume any higher moral authority by hiding behind your supposed Catholicism either. Judge not lest ye be judged. Where were you when the Catholic hierarchy was hiding pedophile priests? That was an illegal act you could have gotten involved in and chose not to.

No. You sir are what is wrong with America today. Lowe's did what any company would do when faced with a potential downside to their business. They chose to go a different direction.

That is AMERICAN Lieu. Your version of nazism to deny a public business the right to spend their money where they choose to, totally legal at that, in advertising is un-American.

It is not up to you or any member of Congress to dictate to them what direction that would be. They are a consumer driven business and have the AMERICAN right to decide just what base they choose to appeal to. Within the law.

Lowe's has done nothing illegal OR un-American in this case.

Sen. Lieu commits illegal acts

You threatening legislative action because of your personal bias is illegal, however, and I would expect that the ethics commission would look into this matter immediately. I won't hold my breath waiting for it.

In the meantime I would hope that your constituents would now see you for who you are. An UN-AMERICAN Senator who feels that your power supersedes that of each of us real Americans and vote you out accordingly.

I will be working on that issue for you.

We real Americans deserve to see those like you gone.

LNP NEW SITE

Louisville News and Politics is upgrading and improving for each of you. Today we launched the official new website for LNP at www.LouisvillePolitics.com.

We will still continue to bring you great content here on the blog but it will now be used for basic updates etc instead of a general list of everything imaginable. The new site at www.LouisvillePolitics.com will focus more on the actual in depth stories and less on the fluff. MERGER WAS A LIE AND WE KNEW IT

Louisville Metro Merger Success or Failure?
When merger was passed, though I have yet to find anyone who would admit to voting for merger, many things were promised. Primarily we were promised this would streamline the process for attracting new jobs, we would have a smaller more centralized government, and of course the whole transparent government as well.

Merger has been a dismal failure in ALL areas and the way it has been handled is exactly why I voted against it.

The democratic mafioso in this town would, I knew, take the potential benefits of what merger could be and use it to line their pockets. The sad part is Abramson as the biggest public face of this rape continues to get elected.

How dumb are we Louisville to elect this man to a Lt Governor job so they could try and install him as Governor in the very near future?

In 2008 I started outing the fallacies of merger and comparing us to another City with a similar land mass but 1.5 times the population. San Diego previous stories

Using this model I put out a basic guideline that would save $1.8 million of our tax dollars just by downsizing the over bloated Metro Council on salaries alone. One Council member and one aide I stated then would save this money.

The Courier Journal recently put out an article saying merger was a failure Courier thanks to a commissioned report by Darryl Owens. Admittedly, Owens and I have no love lost for one another and I rarely, if ever, agree with him on anything but this report is meaningful in many ways.

UPDATES AND SUCH: POLICE CHIEF SEARCH IS ON!

Edited to reflect that Rep. Shaughnessy is vacating his seat at the end of term.

The search for Louisville's new Police Chief is on and so far I can't say I am really impressed with the possible candidates listed here CJ. No names pop up as really worthy in my opinion and appear to be more of the same.

The article mentions that Kenton Buckner and Yvette Gentry are both "considering" applying. Mayor Fisher pay heed. If either of them apply and are considered, rest assured you will have your hands full trying to justify it.

I have to admit though I really don't see it happening. White's girlfriend Gentry is slotted to go with White to Denver in the near future, and Buckner is rumored to be negotiating a pension buyout so he can follow and not lose 17 years towards retirement.

Speaking of Chief Robert White, he is under investigation right now by yours truly about a possible sexual harassment charge brought against him a few weeks ago that was then, according to anonymous sources, covered up by Gentry. We will keep you informed if it pans out.

And then we have the whole Occupy New York scandals going on. According to Fox news FOX, ACORN is actually paying folks to protest in New York and is now firing and shredding evidence to prove it. It really is no surprise to anyone who has actually been following this lunacy. Great read check it out.

Additionally the 2012 campaign season is getting underway with at least two folks from the "Say no to bridge tolls" movement have announced their intent to run. Shawn Reilly is going to run for the Ky House seat being vacated by Tim Shaughnessy, and Curt Morrison will be challenging Metro Councilman Tom Owen.

Though I don't personally agree with these guys on many issues, I have to admit I know them both and have much respect for their passion and commitment to what they believe. Pay attention to these races as both Reilly and Morrison will bring much to the discussion.

Finally, we have this about the GM bailout. GM Bailout costs billions. Apparently, as many of us already knew in the first place,  GM is set to lose money and cost us taxpayers more than what they originally planned. The key word here is planned. Though we in the public knew we would lose money on Government Motors they have not been willing to tell us that. Until  now.

Seems even the fed is tired of covering up the obvious anymore.

See you next time folks!

LATEST AND GREATEST

Many stories have been coming to light over the last few days so we will use this space to outline just a few of them.

Constable David Whitlock is in trouble yet again. Thanks to a story by WLKY's Andy Alcock WLKY, Whitlock is now being accused of sexually harassing a Denny's waiter. We can't make this stuff up folks. Actually we could but the truth is oh so much more endearing. In fact this is just one sample of the many charges of harassment by Whitlock. Stay tuned for much more I assure you.

Seems Mayor Greg Fisher can't even keep his own insiders on board with MSD. According to this story his latest Board appointee has withdrawn from consideration because he is worried he may actually have to do some work on the Board of MSD. CJ

Real-estate developer Marty Cogan, Fisher's latest hand picked MSD Board member has decided to take himself out of consideration based largely on the fact that he anticipates the board will have extra work to do next year, after the release of an investigation of MSD management and governance by Kentucky State Auditor Crit Luallen.

So  what does he think does he believe he should be appointed to a Board without having to do any work? Well, yes probably since Abramson always told them what they will do and they really just follow directions.

So much for something different eh?

Finally, Occupy Louisville goes head to head with Light Up Louisville in Jefferson Square. WHAS.

Does anyone else have a problem with this? I certainly do. Jefferson Square is open to the public and I have a right to enjoy Light Up Louisville without having to deal with the chants and ignorance of Occupy Louisville protesters.

By all means guys have your protest, but do it somewhere else until after the ceremony. We just don't want to be bothered with your movement during a festive occasion. Considering stories like this one, Occupy Wall Street, I just don't think we really care right now about this. from the reports I have been receiving, and personal experience, it is time to move on.

See you next time folks.

RICHIE FARMER MAKES LOUISVILLE WOMAN A STAR

Stephanie L. Sandmann
Sort of anyway though few would want to be a star of this caliber.

UPDATE: RICHIE FARMER ETHICS CHARGES

Looks like Richie Farmer has been sowing his own seed with our money. Former Ag Commish Richie Farmer put his girlfriend, Stephanie L. Sandmann, a former low wage receptionist for a gynecologist in Louisville Ky, on the payroll as a non merit employee for $60,000 per year during the final days leading up to the General election.
So what does it take to qualify for a $5000 per month job with Richie Farmer? According to the CJ very little.
Sandmann’s application for the Agriculture Department position said her last job was as a receptionist at a Louisville doctor’s office that provides gynecologic and obstetric care.
Before that, she worked as a title clerk for a title insurance company, as a real estate agent, a mortgage processor and a cellular phone saleswoman, according to the application.
Great creds eh?
In my opinion we now know just why it was so important for Farmer to pay for hotels on our dime at the State Fair and a few other places.
Of course they are both going through divorces and Farmer, and the GOP in general, continue to tout themselves as the"family values" party. Anyone else see the hypocrisy in this besides me?
But let me assure you that though David Williams and Farmer are from the perfect example of family values we cannot brush everyone in the GOP with the same stroke.
There are just as many hypocrites on both sides of the political realm and no one can be assumed to be guilty by association.
The real problems now are just what exactly will happen to Farmer from here?
There must be charges of malfeasance and/or misfeasance, dereliction of the duties of his office, and a whole host of others. Richie Farmer must be held accountable for the waste of our tax dollars or no one else can be.
That is the reality. Misdirecting our money for his own personal gain is akin to what Judy Green did.
We had her impeached for it, though we are still waiting on Dave Stengel to do his job and charge her, I won't hold my breath since it involves the Democratic mafia, we must be consistent and the actions of Farmer justify the same treatment.
Sandmann should resign, or be forcefully removed effective immediately, and we must be reimbursed for any and all money spent for her salary and other expenses of which she was involved.
Many believe it should be this way, as do I.
Charge Farmer and hold him accountable.
In the meantime Mrs. Sandmann?
The gravy train you thought you were"riding" just ended. Time to look for another job. One in which you are suited for.
You can figure out what "job" that is.....
