Eds: You talked on the program about sponsoring a rally -- my suggestion is that you have the rally on the filing deadline, Jan. 26th, either at the capital in Frankfort and/or at the Board of Elections office on Barrett Avenue.
ReplyDeleteThis rally would be to encourage people to run for office and to encourage those who are running for office to pay attention to the will of the people.
Many candidates file in person on the last day, so there will be a lot more candidates present in those places on that day than on any other day or place.
During the rally, it can be reported which incumbents are still unopposed, with the audience encouraged to run against him or her if within that person's district. Perhaps the hat can be passed to pay the rally member's filing fee.
