Louisville, KY - We expect our politicians to lie, cheat, steal, and blatantly abuse to a degree their authority, and power. In fact, we have come to expect it from many as sad as that may sound. Yet somehow things stay the same and we continue to allow it. Last night's Metro Council meeting was about as blatant as it comes to pandering for Jim King's personal ballot choices.
I know many will find that offensive but I cannot rectify the obvious.
At the last full Council meeting before the November general election, King took it upon himself to "recognize" by name, and honor them, Judicial candidates that he favors including his daughter Katie King. He also had touted his grandson as last night's page, and made sure to mention his other family members in attendance. I have never seen such a display during a Metro Council meeting as blatant as this.
I hope to never see it again.
What of the other candidates for every office including the opponents of his favorite Judges? They were not mentioned giving an unfair free name recognition advantage to the Judicial candidates that were in attendance which could, as King and others hope, potentially sway an election that includes his daughter who has many problems of her own this time around as well.
Rumor has it Katie is embroiled in a major custody fight with her baby daddy, she hasn't been getting the campaign contributions she relies on, going so far as to give her campaign $100,000 of her own money in the span of 30 days between September 2 and October 2.
Employer : KENTUCKY COURT OF JUSTICE
Occupation : JUDGE CANDIDATE Contribution
$50,000.00 on 09/02/2014
KING, KATIE for
DISTRICT COURT JUDGE - 30TH DISTRICT-16TH DIVISION
Employer : KENTUCKY COURT OF JUSTICE
Occupation : JUDGE CANDIDATE Contribution
$50,000.00 on 10/02/2014
Where did the money come from since Katie list her house as her only asset? We have been through that before in 2008 when Jim King illegally gave her campaign money. Did it happen again? If so there is no hiding behind an "unknowing" violation.
Need a refresher?
This is the first time I have publicly posted the audio testimony of Denise Bentley to the Kentucky State Police during the King investigation during Katie's last campaign. Here are a couple of samples from her testimony.
The Checkbook is open
King and Gerome Sutton
Trying to by the Mayorship
King paid out of pocket
King buys Clarence Yancey
I have the complete testimony that includes even more but why bring this all up now?
Because Denise Bentley and Rob Holtzman, more on him forthcoming, are involved in other campaigns now that include, but not limited to, the following candidates:
Katie King
Denise Brown
Ellie Kerstetter
Annette Karem
Stuart Pearlman
At least one we can prove with this.
Watch who you vote for folks and don't be fooled by the blatant pandering in OUR Metro Council.
There will be more coming next week including the connection to now indicted Democratic State Rep. Keith Hall and more on the suicide of Deputy Sherriff Mike Hettick.
Things are heating up you don't want to miss what's coming......
