I just received an email from Special Olympics about their annual fundraiser. They are selling tickets for $10 (very cheap) for a chance to win a 2009 Harley Davidson Super Glide Custom.
The Harley is the exact one pictured above.
Please read the mail below and help support such a worthwhile cause for our neediest children.
Thanks.
Special Olympics Needs Your Help!
Like so many others, Special Olympics Kentucky has been profoundly impacted by the economic downturn. Now more than ever we are hoping that generous people, like you, who have been supporters of our athletes and our programs in the past will continue that strong history of support.
Like so many others, Special Olympics Kentucky has been profoundly impacted by the economic downturn. Now more than ever we are hoping that generous people, like you, who have been supporters of our athletes and our programs in the past will continue that strong history of support.
One way you can help us this month to continue to provide the sports training and competition opportunities that are vitally important to our athletes and their families is to take part in our annual Harley-Davidson Raffle. This year we are giving away a 2009 Harley-Davidson Super Glide Custom. In fact, it is the exact one pictured in this e-mail. Tickets are just $10 each and every penny returns to Special Olympics Kentucky to help us continue to provide programs, like our current softball leagues and golf tournaments, that help our athletes develop physical fitness and increase confidence and self esteem through sports.
Tickets are available by phone or by mail. I am asking that you please consider taking the time to call 502-695-8222 or 800-633-7403 and order one or more tickets in this raffle. You can also send a check to:Special Olympics KentuckyATTN: Harley Raffle105 Lakeview Ct.Frankfort, KY 40601
The drawing will be held on Saturday, August 1, so please order your tickets by July 28.
As we receive no government funding of any kind, Special Olympics Kentucky relies solely on the generosity of our individual and corporate supporters. Again, I hope you will take just a moment to continue your support of our athletes. The programs that you help provide mean so much to our athletes and their families.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call us or e-mail soky@soky.org. Thank you so much for your time and support.
Sincerely,
Dave Kerchner
President/CEO Special Olympics Kentucky
In case anyone needs a reminder of the impact that Special Olympics makes, take a look at this brief video -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/3512 -- it's one young woman's "aha moment" when Special Olympics changed her life. I know you'll find it inspirational.
