HOUSING, BP, RAND PAUL: NEW DAY SAME STUFF

HOUSING: Will it never end? According to the CJ, Area house price index sees 4th straight quarterly drop courier-journal.com The Courier-Journal, housing prices dropped yet again by 2.67% in the last quarter. Funnily enough has anyone seen a decrease in their property taxes during this time? I have spoke to dozens and they have seen no relief. In fact in many cases the new assessments that are being done are raising property values for added tax revenue. Needless to say many like me have a problem with that.

BP OIL SPILL: There is always more to the story and this is one example of that, Deepwater Horizon survivor describes horrors of blast and escape from rig Environment The Guardian, detailing the horrors of the explosion. Additionally, yet again BP failed to be human in their responses check this out from Bruce Maples: WTH? "Survivors Held Until They Signed" - Bruce's Blog - brucemaples.com Anyone else disgusted by this?

RAND PAUL LEADING AGAIN: While no surprise to many of us apparently the CJ cannot count accurately either. The latest poll shows Rand Paul ahead over Conway by 6 points. According to the CJ this is within the margin of error of +/- 4.2 points. Um basic math anyone? Rand Paul holds 6-point lead over Jack Conway in U.S. Senate race courier-journal.com The Courier-Journal
