TUESDAY: IRON QUARTER,BP, AND MORE

IRON QUARTER: All seven buildings making up the Iron Quarter along West Main Street were unanimously declared local landmarks Monday evening by the city's Historic Landmarks and Preservation Districts Commission. Iron Quarter buildings declared local landmarks courier-journal.com The Courier-Journal

So what does this mean now? The usual. Nothing will be done with the property and once again we lose. Blue agreed to preserve the facade, the interior is not worth saving, and was denied the opportunity. Here is an idea. Have the landmarks commission and the citizens who are thwarting progress to save old buildings not worthy of saving buy the properties and rehab them immediately under the rules they force everyone else to follow.

BP: One more day and another estimated 2.5 million gallons of oil spilled into the Gulf. Many are wondering if anything will be left to salvage along the coast. Oil is alreayd rampant on the shores at Pensacola and the wetlands in Louisiana are already suffering tragically. BP says the cost to them so far is roughly $2.6 Billion. Gee I feel so sorry for them. Poor BP huh?

But more importantly Obama did get $20 Billion he can exploit from BP so all is good.

AZ BEING SUED BY THE PRESIDENT?: What can be said at thispoint. President Obama has decided apparently to make Arizona his example of what happens when a State does what is in their best interests at the expense of the federal government I guess. Townhall - Obama Courts Latinos by Suing Arizona

This monstrosity of an ego that Obama has needs to change quickly. I do not understand why every State is not standing up and decrying this action. Allowing Obama to do this jeopardizes any chance at State rights by any State and is an insult to American state rights and values.
