There is so much going on this time of year I decided I needed to do a public events update page for you guys so here goes.
SATURDAY: Hodgenville Family Fun Day featuring Louisville's own Edgewood. Edgewood is fast gaining traction as one of the hottest local bands going. They recently headlined the Hot Summer Nights series at 4th Street Live as well. If you like Edgewood and family fun attend the Hodgenville Family fun day this Saturday, August 7th! There will be Games, Balloons, Storytelling, FOOD, Dunking booth, Facepainting, and much more.
Bring chairs, blankets and your dancing shoes! Family Fun Day starts at 5pm and Edgewood will start at 8pm
MONDAY: On Monday August 9, 2010 Independent Ky Chairman Michael Lewis will file his official candidate paperwork to be on the ballot in November's general election for the KY House District 35 seat.
As you may recall, Mr. Lewis brought National attention to Louisville during the recent primary race when CNN came to town to do a feature story on Michael Lewis in his efforts to gain independent voters a voice in the primary election process in KY. During this interview a now famous quote by Senator Juliann Carroll brought shame to KY when he stated that "if you don't like the way America runs its political system, then you need to move to another Country."
Fueled by his desire to ensure all voters are given the opportunity to vote in KY during primary elections ,Mr. Lewis has now taken this fight a step further by declaring is candidacy as an independent to challenge Jim Wayne for the House District 35 seat.
Anyone wanting details on Mr. Lewis can visit his website at www.lewisforstatehouse.com
