MYVIEWMATTERS RADIO AIRS THIS WEEK: VETERANS

As we have told you the MyViewMatters Radio Show is seeking funding to continue operating on a weekly basis. Anyone interested in helping either through donation, investment, or ads give us a shout at (502)742-8519, or write us at myviewmatters@aol.com.

With that said, we decided last week would be our final show for a bit until we get funding in place. Well, as is usual for me sometimes, I changed my mind. This issue is too important to our community and our veterans.

On August 18 from 6-8 Pm there will be a town hall discussion on the future of the VA hospital.
Sponsored by Metro Council District 9 candidate Patrick Duerr the discussion will focus on what exactly should be done with the VA hospital.

As many of you know the politicians are trying to move the VA hospital closer to Downtown at a cost of millions. The problem? Most vets like it just where it is and believe the money could be used better by upgrading equipment and services at the existing location.

I know many vets, I am one, and I agree with them on this. And so does Patrick Duerr.

The location, as is, certainly offers much more to the vets in the community. It is centrally located with easy access and no traffic problems conducive with Downtown hospitals, it provides great service for our vets, and quite frankly, according to many Doctors and staff there, they like it just fine at its present location as well.

Since District 9 Metro Council Candidate Patrick Duerr is doing his best to bring this issue to light, with the aid of 3rd Congressional District candidate Todd Lally, an active duty Lt Colonel himself, and the fact that this is one of the most important things for our community veterans, I decided to do one more show this week to help bring attention to this situation.

Our mission has always been to bring a voice to the voiceless and the issues to we the people.

With this in mind the MyViewMatters Radio will air as normal this Thursday from 6-7 pm on WKJK 1080 AM. We want to hear from you on this. In studio guests will be Patrick Duerr and Ed Martin.

Yep Martin is a guest. He is not affiliated in any way with this show as co host or partner.

In the meantime mark your calendars as well for August 18 from 6-8 PM for the place below.
