THE POWER LIES IN YOU

For many years now those who follow my work know of the MVM mantra. MVM simply has always stood for "My View Matters." It began as a concept designed to remind me daily that my view does indeed matter and my voice has the right to be heard. It is a belief I live by and I use it daily now when involved in speaking engagements or public events in the hopes that it will somehow help others believe the same thing I do.

That each of us matter and we deserve to be counted.

I have challenged many throughout the years to pay heed to this simplest of concepts in the hopes that they would finally realize their own power as individuals. I believe self empowerment aids us in our  daily lives.

It seems that We The People have forgotten that when it comes to our daily lives we are the ones who control the path we are on.

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Whether that be the simplest of decisions, like what's for dinner for example, to deciding on our elected leaders and the direction that we collectively want to work towards, we continue to allow ourselves to be led by someone else's decisions that may or may not be what we would want for ourselves, our families, our neighborhoods, or indeed our Nation.

For anyone to honestly believe that the trends in our daily lives are not alarming I beg to differ.

Look around you.

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Our daily lives are being destroyed by the political powers that be who feel there will be no recourse in their actions. We have allowed them to think this is acceptable behavior.

Unemployment, welfare, education, price of gas, anything and everything is being exploited for the good of the powerful at the expense of most of us.

We continue to be lied to and led by an out of control mainstream media who prefers to tell us what to believe instead of giving us the facts and letting us decide for ourselves. Think I'm wrong?

Look to the GOP Presidential primary election and see just how much the process is tainted and the cover up of the simplest reporting in order to force feed us an establishment choice. We are sitting idly by and allowing it to happen.

Look at the lost freedoms we face in our Nation as a result of such things as the Homeland Security Act, which gives us a false sense of security, the NDAA, which allows our government to storm our homes with Uzi's if they so choose without any charges against us, among others.

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Ask yourself are you better off today then you were 4 years ago and you won't be surprised by the answer. Most I talk to give me a resounding NO. It's no surprise to me but reinforces what I have always believed.

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Here at home in Louisville, KY the problems that we continue to face are the same ones that our elected leaders have promised to fix for decades yet we still continue to have high poverty, poor education, and no economic prosperity to speak of for the average Louisvillian.

From the Cordish Group debacle, false crime reporting, and the economic injustice to the West End.

Cover ups by Councilmen such as David Tandy who went to Baltimore to see the Cordish Group, and gain accountability for our free money given to them, yet signed a non disclosure agreement so he couldn't show us they were above board.

Of course Cordish Group has asked for another $850,000 of our money and we will give it to them.

Even after they reneged on the original deal and got kicked out of the Starks Building for failure to pay back rent.

As Metro Council President and a lawyer he should know better, but he knows....

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Buying elections such as elected Councilman Jim King did for his daughter Judge Katie King yet both are still in office.

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Crime any better? Nope.

We were supposed to believe that it would improve under former Chief Robert White and we were treated to hands off accountability because he was African American. We couldn't hold him accountable out of fear of being labeled racist if we did.

What did we gain? Nothing.

Race relations still did not improve, our Police Department worked in fear instead of doing their job, cronyism within leadership positions, and false reporting of crime statistics. Crime rates didn't improve. The reporting of them changed to hide the obvious.

Our "leadership" in Jerry Abramson knew of White's failed leadership past and lied to we the people when hiring him. Of course Abramson lied to the people of Louisville for over twenty years with no recourse. Why?

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Has education improved? Nope.

Louisville has some of the worst ranked schools in Kentucky though we are one of the largest budgets. Why?

Because once again we have been promised changes that never develop due to poor leadership. Kentucky ranks in the bottom of education across the Country and largely because of the failures of the Jefferson County education system.

A system that cares more about the money than the education of our children.

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Why do I bring all of these issues up?

The one thing they all have in common is politics. The game has always been the same and we the people continue to allow it. Politics affect each and every aspect of our daily lives yet it is the one thing most don't want to get involved in.

Private business like Cordish gets our money because of their connections in Beshear, Abramson, Tandy, and others.

Our police department relies on federal money so our politicians force them to manipulate data to get to it regardless of the real problems.

Our education system relies on federal money so our  leaders lie, cheat, and steal an education from our children to line their pockets.

See a pattern here? Follow the money. Money equals power to our elected entrenched and we the sheep have no problems letting them believe it.

We continue to elect these same people who are screwing us over and over again. What have they learned trhoughout this process?

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

Behavior is a learned thing.

When one is abused and they go back to the abuser, they have just taught the abuser that this is acceptable behavior. It is now a learned part of the abuser's behavioral process.

If someone constantly demeans you and you let them do it, you just taught them that treating you in a demeaning way is acceptable behavior.

As we continue to allow ourselves to be lied to and manipulated into losing our freedoms everyday, we are in fact telling our leadership this is acceptable. How so?

Because we refuse to get involved and let them know it is not. Most choose to allow others to tell them how to live their lives instead of taking responsibility for their own choices in doing so.

People will only give you what you are willing to accept.

I refuse to follow the path our elected leaders are taking us down.

I refuse to accept their behavior in destroying my America, my Kentucky, and my Louisville.

I will no longer be a victim to their abuse.

Why?

Because My View Matters.

Does yours?

MSD Louisville Ky corruption or incompetence?

Tonight on the Ed Springston Radio Show, Springston claims vindication against MSD for his work over the last 5 years.

STOP I.T. President Ray Pierce, and Operations Manager Paul Holliger, joined in the conversation discussing their work over the last 7 years.

Springston takes major issue against mainstream media and what he feels is their failures while protecting former Mayor Jerry Abramson. Why has Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway not done his job investigating?

Springston also points out the long list of Lt Governor Jerry Abramson's failures in Louisville.

Springston calls out Louisville Water Company.

President Obama's hand picked Attorney General Eric Holder plays the race card, and more!

Louisville Ky MSD, Audits and Indictments?

Sometimes you have to take credit where it is due because no one else will give it to you. Yep pretty egotistical statement and in this case I will be a pretty egotistical guy. Thanks to Kentucky Open Records Laws we can find out a lot more than we ever have.

For years now we at LNP have been reporting on the fallacies of MSD, including the shenanigans of Attorney Larry Zielke, the incompetency of Director Bud Shardein, and a whole host of other issues. Today we are vindicated.

Why would I say that? For the last year or so the CJ, and others, have been finally reporting somewhat on the problems at MSD yet they were silent throughout the years in many case in order to protect the former regime leader in Jerry Abramson.

There can be no doubt about that now as the problems at MSD have been talked about for years in the public domain by yours truly. Why were other media outlets ignoring these problems when Jerry was in charge? While I thank Crit Luallen for finally doing a complete audit, why would she wait until the end of her term to do so when info was provided long ago about MSD and an audit requested by yours truly as well?

While there certainly are many questions to be asked, and accountability for all who helped hide this to protect the Democratic mafia with Abramson, it is indeed a great day to finally be proven right so thanks to Crit and her Department.

You can read the findings here from Crit’s office.

Mayor Greg Fisher announced at Noon today that Bud Shardein will be replaced as Director immediately. Unfortunately, though I agree with ridding Shardein 100%, the direction he is taking is suspect.

For starters, allowing Shardein to remain in any capacity until the spring is wrong. He has proven to be a dismal failure, a liar, and a thief. You don’t reward that behavior by allowing him to stay on so he can pad retirement.

You fire him immediately and deal with it. To allow him even so much as an advisory role is an insult to each of us who have been screwed by wrongful rate increases and faulty management.

Fischer also announced that three long-serving board members — chairman Arnold Celentano, Doyle Stacy and Jerome Clark — will shortly retire from the board as soon as replacements are found. Fischer asked them to stay until replacements can be appointed to maintain a level of institutional knowledge during the interim. There are eight board members, four of whom have been appointed by Fischer and have served fewer than six months.

Good to see Doyle Stacy being replaced as he was nothing more than a political hack appointment to appease the UAW for his work gaining an endorsement of Jerry Abramson in 2006. His work in that fiasco was rewarded so good riddance.

Another interesting twist to the story?

Greg Heitzman, Water Company president, will also assume the title of executive director of MSD starting immediately. Heitzman will be a loaned executive to help lead MSD during its transition toward compliance with the audit findings as well as a possible new business structure. Current executive director Bud Schardein, a 28 year MSD veteran, announced today that he will retire in the spring but will remain with the agency in an advisory role until then to help ensure a smooth transition.

I have problems with Heitzman being interim for MSD. Why? Because I believe that the Louisville Water Company is the second biggest scam against us ratepayers.

LWC is 100% owned and operated by the City of Louisville itself. Its purpose is to provide us with safe affordable drinking water. Period.

So why then can LWC continue to raise rates and post a profit that goes straight into the Louisville General Fund?

Is this not a form of illegal taxation since the Government owns it? Making a profit by raising rates is exactly one of the same scams MSD has been employing. Using a government agency for profit is, well, not exactly acceptable is it?

Greg Fisher you need a new Board Chairman? I volunteer. In the meantime.

There are a lot more questions to be asked and answered in the short-term but today, after years of railing against the illegalities of MSD, is as good a day as any to sit back, reflect on the fight, and say……

I told you so.

MERGER WAS A LIE AND WE KNEW IT

Louisville Metro Merger Success or Failure?
When merger was passed, though I have yet to find anyone who would admit to voting for merger, many things were promised. Primarily we were promised this would streamline the process for attracting new jobs, we would have a smaller more centralized government, and of course the whole transparent government as well.

Merger has been a dismal failure in ALL areas and the way it has been handled is exactly why I voted against it.

The democratic mafioso in this town would, I knew, take the potential benefits of what merger could be and use it to line their pockets. The sad part is Abramson as the biggest public face of this rape continues to get elected.

How dumb are we Louisville to elect this man to a Lt Governor job so they could try and install him as Governor in the very near future?

In 2008 I started outing the fallacies of merger and comparing us to another City with a similar land mass but 1.5 times the population. San Diego previous stories

Using this model I put out a basic guideline that would save $1.8 million of our tax dollars just by downsizing the over bloated Metro Council on salaries alone. One Council member and one aide I stated then would save this money.

The Courier Journal recently put out an article saying merger was a failure Courier thanks to a commissioned report by Darryl Owens. Admittedly, Owens and I have no love lost for one another and I rarely, if ever, agree with him on anything but this report is meaningful in many ways.

ELECTION RESULTS: NO SURPRISE REPUBLICANS GET SHELLACKED

For those of you who actually care about our Kentucky politics and voted thank you. For all you who did not, well I can almost understand. It seems in recent elections getting people motivated to go to the polls and vote has become a serious struggle. And why not? It continues to be a situation of a choice between either dumb and dumber, or as most people call it the lesser of two evils.

I, for one, was not surprised in the least by the final tallies last night.

I also do not believe most actually chose a candidate. I believe most used the straight party ticket to vote and that perhaps had a lot to do with the outcome.

In the Governor's race there was simply no way David Williams or Gatewood Galbraith could or would win. Williams and the Republicans took a shellacking last night because they still just do not get the public sentiment and what we want.

Any novice campaign manager could have put on a more effective campaign for Republicans and made it respectable.

Big words right?

Look at the reality. Steve Beshear and Abramson did not win because they had a better vision. In fact, they basically ignored we the people until the last couple of weeks because they knew they didn't have to. It was a good strategy. Give credit where it is due.

But why were they able to do so? Neither has been successful for Kentucky so far. Look at the Abramson baggage alone that he left for current Mayor Greg Fischer in Louisville. So how did it happen?

Because the Republicans had a weak candidate in David Williams due to years of baggage attached to his neck as Senate President. Whether true or not, there was just too much to overcome. Throw in the Dem faithful who vote with the straight party option most of the time and you have your answers.

The problem wasn't just the baggage Williams himself had, or the realization that his campaign gave the Richie Farmer name WAY too much credit throughout the state, no the problems were more straight forward than that.

In fact, I don't believe this was an election against the Republicans as much as it was against the poor Republican field itself. How else can you explain a sitting Governor being able to ignore the people, bring together no real plan, and lie about his achievements, and still get reelected?

It seemed from the very beginning that the overall Republican campaign strategy was to make every candidate run against Barrack Obama. You didn't go to any function and hear so much about what the Republicans would do as much as it always seemed to be "vote for me because I am against President Obama."

And that was the fundamental flaw with the Republican field in general. They just seemed too intent trying to focus on a predictable ultra right wing Christian conservative platform. The "I'm against Gays, for God and guns, and against abortion" deal, and trying to tie it around President Obama and by default Steve Beshear. This most certainly hurt every Republican candidate.

One exception. James Comer for Ag commish. Comer actually deserved this race and quite frankly should have a bright political future ahead of him in KY. As long as he doesn't blow it by listening to these old guard Republicans who have no clue about today's Republican party. Congrats and good luck Commissioner Comer.
These elections were for the people of Kentucky. They were not for or against President Obama, who will answer for his job next year, and yet the Republican leadership never recognized that reality.

At a time when the Country is falling apart at the seams, Kentucky is suffering as much or more than others, there was a real opportunity to separate the Republicans from the Democrats by focusing on what we can do better.

Instead they chose to use the same old tired ho hum campaign strategy that has failed continuously and will again if the direction is not changed.

Today people are more in tune with what is actually going on than ever. They are longing for real leadership and real solutions. Most are sick of the same old tired rhetoric of the GGGA, gays, God, guns, and abortion, they are also sick of the constant negative attacks and trying to be something we know these politicians are not.

People of virtue.

This election was a clear indicator of just why the majority choose not to vote anymore.

We the people are seeking leadership. Leaders that will actually move to the front and show us a better way.

We want leaders who are inclusive and who offer a real plan to move us forward.

Unfortunately when the Republican party had a real chance to bring about change in Kentucky this election cycle, against such weak leaders as Beshear and Abramson, they opted instead to prove they are followers by continuing to follow the same old tired way of campaigning that we the people have gotten sick of.

Let's hope they do a better job next time. I for one am no longer asking for a change. I am now demanding it.

Who will rise to the challenge?

DAVID WHITLOCK, SO WHAT DO ILLEGAL DEPUTY CONSTABLE'S DO FOR FUN?

STUPID COP TRICKS courtesy Jefferson County Constable David Whitlock.

EXCLUSIVE!! The following video is dangerous, unsafe and could very well have killed this young man. This is not a stunt for Jackass, Scare Tactics or Punk'd nor is it a stupid human trick video from Youtube. This is actual video of supposed 'Police Training' conducted by David Whitlock's Constable's Office, aka "Kentucky Constable Association".
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLICATE THIS STUNT.

David Whitlock has a long and famous fascination with video and guns. This time it might be his undoing.

They take shots at each other with no fear of consequences. The following video is of Constable David Whitlock's illegal Deputy from Shepherdsville, Mike Stephens shooting Cody Whitaker in the chest for fun. Cody is only 18 years old and not eligible to be a law enforcement officer in Kentucky until he is 21 under state law. So why is Cody participating in LIVE FIRE training exercise that under any standard is inherently dangerous, unsafe and in no way conforms to any training standards observed by any police department in the nation?

CONSTABLE WHITLOCK IS OUT OF CONTROL!!

From what I understand they took the load out of the bullet but as you can see there was still significant damage to Whitaker. But hey don't feel too bad.

Sources tell me that Whitlock actually gave Whitaker a badge at age 17 while Stephens supplied a Glock for him to carry and impersonate a police officer. Trust me there is more coming this week stay tuned!

ONLY JAIL TIME WILL STOP WHITLOCK
The truly sad part about this situation is that even if David Whitlock is arrested, indicted and convicted of yet another Felony he will remain a Constable. As an elected Constitutional Officer he must be impeached by the Kentucky House with a replacement named by the Governor. So our only hope is that the Kentucky State Police take up the investigation and shut Whitlock down for the safety of the general public.

This Tuesday please remember this situation the next time you vote. Whitlock slid through on a Democratic ticket which in this state allows for "Big Lever" ballots.

CNN MOST TAXED CITIES

According to this from CNN money, Big city taxes: Who pays what - Apr. 14, 2009 , Louisville is ranked 8th in the most heavily taxed Cities in America. Abramson continues to defy labor and blames Labor agreements for keeping business out of here. He just does not get it does he? As I have stated over and over again the pay to play schemes and high taxes are what keeps business out of Louisville.

According to this article I am right. It just repeats what I have been saying since 2005 when I decided to run for Mayor. Abramson just does not get it or does not want to.

The way Abramson and our elected officials keep going after us reminds me of this from the Family Guy. YouTube - Family Guy - Stewie Beats Brian
